I am looking for ballistic tables for a 16" barrel .223 AR15 with 1:9 twist, shooting .55gr bullets. The only tables I have are for .223 with 24" barrel. I am trying to see if I want to zero at 50 or 100 yards. I need a ball park figure on drop so I will have more ammo and time for fine tuning not guessing. Thanks
If you are looking at ball parking just use the numbers you have. You won't notice a big difference at 100 yards. I would bore site your rifle at home. When you go to the range, I would zero 1" low at 25 yards, then move to 100 yards to see where it shot. It should be pretty close. It works on the 14 inch barrel I use for work and the 20 inch I have at home.
