Well it was about two days before I decided that I was going to paint my new rifle and seeing as how I wasn't doing anything this weekend it was the perfect chance to give it a rattle can finish. I gave it a good base coat of khaki and then used shredded burlap layed over the rifle as I painted to make strange lines and shapes. All in all I think it turned out good and it blended in well in the woods next to my parents' house so I'm happy with it, for now.

Nice work, sounds like a simple yet very effective procedure. Good post.

Nice paint job ;) . Do you just use regular spray paint for your rifle? or is it a special kind?

I used Krylon and Bowflage on it, nothing fancy just what I could find at Wal-Mart and Dick's Sporting Goods. Thanks for all the great feedback, I'm just glad my burlap idea worked out so well, I think I'll use it again on the next rifle I paint.
