    Home made 10/22 stocks

I've made two stocks for my 10/22s, one ( OD green and black) with a target barrel and the other ( black over charcoal) with a full over barrel suppressor.

They were both made by customising the standard wooden stock.

Both rifles have extended mag releases, after-market bolt hold open thingys, an adjustable trigger on the OD and black one and volquartsen hammers.

Now if I can get some one to post the pics here for me I'll e-mail them through .... Malammers???? ..... help!

    Kiwi,
I know of a way to post pics that may help you.
First you need to set up an account at this web site http://photobucket.com
it is a picture hosting site. Next your going to have to follow the directions on uploading your pics to their site (its real easy) then once your pics are uploaded, under your pic there are 3 formats programs read to post your pics. copy and paste the format that starts with img and ends with img and that should do it. I hope I didnt loose you but the directions will make more sence as you are setting up your account and uploading pics to their site.

Thanks AmmoHouse ...... yep, they were just the standard old wood ones with the barrel band around the forend.

This pic shows the OD green one after the shaping with the textured grip areas done just before painting.

The texture is crushed walnut shell polishing media which was sprinkled over a thin layer of epoxy resin.

I had masked out the area to be covered and lightly "patted' down the walnut into the epoxy.

The next day when the epoxy was good and hard, I brushed off the excess loose walnut prior to painting.

    Unutterably amazing...

one question though, what material did you use for the "rough" looking stuff on the grip and the foreend?

great job on the stocks kiwi...
