Just getting into long range shooting. My father built this table to put out at our friends ranch for a 1000 yd range they are setting up. The main deck is 8x8 for prone then the seated position and stairs are off the back. What do you guys think?
It's not really what I'm into, but it looks like it was built like a brick porta-pot...and if I were going to build one, I would follow the same type of engineering idea (stronger than it ever has to be). Seems like you could either store ammo under it on the center shelf, or better yet, store a prone shooter in the shade!
I considered building something like that for my range, since I need to shoot from a slightly elevated position to hit see all the different distances, but I didn't want it to be super heavy and hard to move...
So I built it to be removable, on top of my ATV.
I like yours way better.... But here's my contraption.
To answer the questions, the circles are just handles for helping up the steps, the shelf underneath is for rifle cases and bags wile you are shooting, I guess I need to add cup holders

I would like to see someone in all the shooting positions. I don't quite understand what's going on in the bottom part. It looks fantastic though.
