bell & carlson medalist tactical a5 stock review

Hey guys! I was looking to purchase a stock and I heard alot about the medalist. I was wondering how it feels, looks and just the overall quality of it. I would like to hear from owners or people who have seen/felt one in person. Thanks!

I just received mine on tuesday from stockysstocks.com
Overall first impression is great, I did have to open up the rear stock hole a little with a dril bit to align properly, but that's no biggy!
It is heavy!!! But that's a good thing, atleast IMO (tame that kick ) I love the adjustments as well. It free floats the barrel, even with my VTR triangular barrel all the way to the action.

I have my 700 w/ 26" barrel in one, and I really like it. It holds its adjustments without slipping. The only issue I have had is that I have to lower the cheekpiece to remove the bolt. Not a big deal, but that requires removing the stock pack I have on it.

It is heavy and provides a stable platform, which I like. My rig, scope and all, comes in at 16# unloaded.

At the position I have my cheekpiece at (1/2"), I can remove the bolt without a problem, any higher though would require lowering!
What kind of stock pack do you have mistaP?

It's by Pantac. Here's a link to buy on ebay:

It is high quality, and I got it in 1 week. Comes w/ 2 ammo holders--1 shotgun (pictured) and 1 rifle.

I've got 20 moa canted base and low XTRs with a 44mm Obj. It's mounted as low as I can get it. I really lay may cheek over and rest on it pretty hard. Maybe that's why I need the elevation.
