NorCal I'll try I should still have it somewhere.
Scratch that's a good idea, I was wondering it seemed a little small, but that's a pretty good idea.

I went out yesterday to see what my new barrel (received it Friday) would do and as I didn't feel like working up a load I just grabbed a couple boxes of he AE from my local Cabela's (Unfortunately for my wallet it's only 3 miles away) to use for sight in. I also had to shoot a "Qualification" for "Special Use Privileges" at our local club range. Started out with a couple fouling rounds, cleaned the soot out, fired a couple more sighters, and here are the first 5 "serious" shots through the new barrel.
Like I said, I was pretty pleased with the "factory load".
The new barrel is a 24" 6.5 Creedmoor, 1:8, 3-groove with a Benchmark Tactical Brake w/pinch bolt.
With this brake, coupled with the lighter recoil of the 6.5 CM, the target stays in the scope center throughout the entire shot. That compensator port keeps the barrel down with every shot
With the pinch bolt I can, if necessary, adjust the brake so the compensator takes any horizontal "bias" out as well.
Tuesday I'll get a chance to do some load workup and we'll see what my March target ends up looking like.
Let's see some more target the month end is near.

I did not get a chance to go out agin, so here is my target.
.223 AR 68g Hornady BTHP Match
100 yards prone with bi-pod and rear bag.
I do have to say other than the few pulled shots, when my son decided to do a mag dump standing next to me in the middle of my string, I am super happy how well this AR shoots. I miss the bi-monthly steel shoot in CA for AR's.
Did a load workup for my newly re-barreled 6.5 Creedmoor. Was windy and cool for this time of year but I came home with a nice big grin. Tomorrow we're going to take the new "load" to the range and see if it can repeat. Will still hold to my personal rule, first "official target" shot will be my entry. Good, Bad, or Really Ugly. Finger's crossed.
