AR15 add ons -- What are the best?

Looking to add a vertical grip to my shorty AR. not sure what is best. Folding, No folding, built in light, etc. What is your preference?

    Tactical sling system. Same question.

My AR is a Bushmaster 16" heavy barrel flat top with an Aimpoint M3, ARMS mount, 6 position stock, DPMS BUIS, Yankee forearm, and a GemTech M4-02 suppressor. There is a Magpul trigger guard and grip on it too.

I like the folding ones. That way it can be put out of the way if need be. If you need to rest the gun on something and shoot its not sticking out making problems.

I'm a contrary old cuss. I don't like any of the modern doo-dads on the AR-15.

Keep the gun light and simple. Why clutter it up by bolting a kitchen sink to it?

I am the same way now my first AR looked like something from a sci-fi movie with all the lights, lasers, forward grip, ect. But I found out I didnt need all that stuff so now all my ARs are pretty standard.

I like to keep my rifles as close to stock as possible. If you have to add a lot of junk to a rifle then you chose the wrong one. But it does look cool though

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I'll keep it as is. Light and manuverable is good. I still want to get a sling to replace the stock one.

    I'm with you Mad,

All I have added to my AR is a Leupold MK4 carry handle mount and an Aimpoint Comp C.

And a blue strip of tape on the Mags, so I know which ones are mine.
