    How about magazines?
Check and tune feed lips and followers or just buy new?
I was testing some tonight that didn't want to reliably feed the first round when topped off at 30.
New PSA Teflon coated GI style.
    They sure look pretty.
Got them for $6.99 on sale.
    Just tweak the lips?

ALG QMS trigger. I have a QMS in an AR15 and an ACT in the LR65 I'm building. The QMS feels just as good as the ACT. My original AR trigger that came with my inexpensive lower parts kit wasn't horrible by military standards. I have shot dozens of M16s and M4s over the years and the original trigger felt like an AR trigger. I was quite shocked at how good the QMS felt after installing it. It's like the best a military trigger can be, right out of the box, without firing thousands of rounds to smooth it out.

I just stick to PMags. I run the 20 rounder Gen 3. My AR is far to heavy to run n gun with so I just shoot it on the bench or prone and the shorter mags help.
I redefined trust between my wife and I. Bought her a gun, hand loaded ammo for it, showed her how to shoot it, and made her the beneficiary on my life insurance.

Well thanks to this thread and my last outing making me realize it...I just put a Magpul B.A.D. Lever on my rifle. What a great little add on for bench and prone shooting.

Went through 30 magazines and tweaked the feed lips.
1/16" is plenty to get them to feed every time.
Used dummy rounds over live to be safe.
Guess that is another cheap upgrade.

Buy a 5 pack of dummy rounds or make some that are drilled out used cases.

Yeah I'm so used to my bolt action that I get into NPA, before loading the gun. Then I'd have to lift my head, use my left hand to release the bolt, get back on the rifle.

Also with the bad lever I can lock back the bolt while pulling the charging handle.
