Cool. Had any range time yet? Whaddya think of it?

Yup as a matter of fact I did...from the hood of my pickup she shoots
about 2.5 inches to 3 inches but I know if I were to sit down and use some
kind of rest she would be even better. I'm not the best shot ideally, and elbows on a truck hood ain't exactly ideal.

She works like a charm though!

Cool looking M14,Muzz. Now you have to contact Fred's and get some extra stocks.I've got 5 so that I can use different camo paterns. it never hurts to have a couple 20 round mags either. Please post some pics of her performance.

Hmm...another stock eh? I like the idea...I might just bite the bullet and get another M14 too lol...But another one to experiment with camo and stuff would be cool.

Looking at a nice walnut stock too. 20 (5) round mags are a must. ordering some next week.

I'll get some pics of how she shoots soon too.

Recoil is right...In fact, some of our receivers were actually made 15 years ago, and the rifles were assembled recently for shipment to Canada.

Wargone, I am gonna see about Mauser rings tomorrow :)

Here's a pic in winter camo. I'll dig out my other stocks, including a wooden one or two , and post them later,if Muzz doesn't mind me mildly derailing his post.

Muhahaha vengeance is mine! I knew letting you play with my Norinco would seal your fate, and so it has come to pass! They are a lot like crack and now you are hooked forever! Seriously though congrats on taking the plunge, looks like you got a good one too. Now if you want to play with different paint and camo patterns I have some of the mystery wood stocks hanging around here you can have next time you are in town, all of mine wear Boyd’s wood now. IS this one staying as is or is there a chop saw in its future? Now quit buying stuff, there is a gun show in August that we must attend….

EDIT Muzz why don’t you make a M14 gallery sticky so we can see everyone else’s hardware. It will also keep your thread from getting all spamed up.

hkpete, thanks!

Yep, semi auto centerfires are limited to 5 round mags here in Canada. The 20 (5) round mag i mentioned is a 20 rounder with a large metal flap under the follower that hits the bottom of the mag once you have loaded 5 rounds and won't let you put any more in.

It's easier to insert and remove though, and makes the rifle look original.

Jeff, I don't mind ya showing off your pics at all man! I love to see good lookin guns and that one sure applies! Great cammo job!.

Cannon, yeah you did it! I probably woulda never made the jump if I hadn't actually got to send lead downrange with yours man. Gun show in August, ehhh? I'll make sure I actually have some cash this time. Hope theres as many cool guns this time, and that 30-06 Korean surplus was righteous. Thanks for the offer of the wood, man!

Kmussack, Sweet rifle, dude! She looks like a real tack driver...kinda like cars that look like they're doin 100 just sittin there.

Its chambered in 308, hkpete...but I had my Garand along to a trip to the gun show/range out where Cannon lived, and he happened to find a sweet Garand there for sale, so we took advantage of surplus ammo for sale and brought our toys to the range.

Danged if Cannon's didn't shoot that Korean ammo into an inch and a half too lol.

Timepants, nice rifle! I am gonna take Cannon's idea and just make THIS thread the M-14 sticky, I don't mind anyone else who wants to post pics at all!
