    Torque ratings for Burris XTR Xtreme Tactical Rings

    Guys,
    What is torque rating for screws on Burris XTR Xtreme Tactical Rings (30 mm)? Also in which order you are tightening all these screws?

    I think i got mine at 25 in/lbs, i tighten the screws front to back, alternating between the sides. But that's just me.

    Most are 15 in/lbs and tighten in a star pattern kinda like a car tire. The hex bolt to the picatinny should be 65 in/lbs.

    That's what i was thinking. I never used before 6 screws on one ring...Also this is official answer from Burris on subject:

    "Robert,

    18-24 inch lbs is recommended. There is no certain order.

    Yeah, I just do the outer screws in a star pattern and save the middle ones for last. I have a torque wrench but I usually just get a ratchet and grab it by the base and turn until it won't turn anymore. Plenty tight and haven't gotten any ring marks yet.
