The Zeiss offers the best value in scopes today. The only problem is that Zeiss scopes do not offer great amounts of elevation adjustment.

But for long range applications, you can fix this by using a 20 MOA base.

Zeiss scopes are second to none in terms of optics. Great glass, great price, great value.

just talked to my bud that owns the gun store and went down there and he said the same thing apples to apples ziess (but) the high end leupolds
are better then the conquest line so i looked through my self,
i could not understand how a 900.00 scope could be better then an 1800.00-- the VX 1-2-3s are not as good as the conquest line

I've never seen a "Mark 7". Do you mean VX-7?

I'm not sure what "varmit hairs" are, do you mean a varmint hunter reticle?

-The VX-7 has more elevation range.

-The VX-7 may have an optics edge, but it has been a while since I compared one side by side. I compared a VX-7 to a Swaro A-Line and Conquest when the VX-7 first came out and it did impress me and I remember liking it better than the Swaro.

-The VX-7 has a lifetime warranty and much better customer service

-The Conquest has a great side-focus and a good reputation for tracking

    -The Conquest has great glass

    -The Conquest is cheaper

Zeiss make excellent optics across the board full stop, i own a Leupold MK4 and a Schmidt and Bender PM2 myself and i will never get rid of either, both are fantastic piece's of equipment, and i dont think i will ever exchange either of them ever.
Having said that i dont own a Zeiss, but i have a friend with one of their Conquest scopes and it is an incredible optical device altogether, (but i wouldnt swap my Schmidt and Bender for it ha ha!)
