    Millet Long Range Scope

    Hello,

I checked out a Millett Long Range Scope yesterday at a dealer.
    6x25x56

    http://www.millettsights.com/scopes/lrs/

I thought it was pretty efficient from my position outside the store and
looking at a crane approx. 1/2 mile off. Mind you, it's only a guestimate
but to the naked eye, quite a distance.

Price was $675.00 for the scope.

Any comments about the quality of this optic would be appreciated.

It's a good scope in my opinion. There are 2 problems I see with the Millett LRS-1 though.
    1) finding good rings in 35mm will be a pain, and pricey.
    2) you need to search some other sites. I've seen them for $525 on some sites. This was a few months ago and I don't remember the sites, but you could try SWFA or OpticsPlanet.

I'd save another $100 and get in line for a Vortex Viper PST, or a nice Sightron SIII.
    Just a thought.

$675 is way too high. I have seen the same scope on swfa.com for $469. That's quite a markup whoever quoted you.

If the model you're talking about is BK81004 then you are getting raped at $675. The Millett scopes are decent enough but that's too high. Somewhere around $450 is right for that one.

SWFA has this scope with an illuminated reticle in MOA/MIL or MIL/MIL for $469 I think.
