It's a happy day!
I have a Nightforce coming my way!
NXS 3.5-15x50mm MIL/MIL MLR ZS
Was tempted to sink the extra money into the new High Speed option, but the difference was the price of the rings.
I ordered the NightForce .885 Low UltraLite Rings. I'm using a Rem700 308 5R and Sniper Central 15 MOA base. I want the scope close (of course)! Are these rings the right height? There is time to change the order.
It's going to be hard to not tell the wife. She'll be immediately suspicious once she sees my grin.
"But honey- It matches! Your always telling me the importance of matching things!"
Excellent! Thanks Rob01!
I recently purchased a Rem 5R and plan on having either a Leupold 4.5x14 50 ERT, or a Nightforce F1 and a 20MOA base. Does anyone have a similar setup that could advise the appropriate BO ring size? Thanks
I have a Ken Farrell 20moa base on my R700, which until recently had BO low rings carrying a MK4 LR/T 4.5-14x50 (with caps). Loads of room between the scope and barrel. I have since changed both scope and rings to a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 with low Burris Zee rings and again still plenty of room. I think with 20 moa base you'd have to exceed a x56 size objective before you need to worry about clearance.
