    The Fine Duplex Reticle

Specifically, Leupold's fine duplex that is available in the 4.5-14x PR scope.

Let's limit this one to just the merits of the fine duplex compared to the standard duplex. Other reticles may be better, but what if you were restricted to only these two choices?

For those who have used this reticle, what are your thoughts?

i have the FD in a 4.5-14x40 LR ontop of a weatherby 257MKV DX. i like it and it gets used as a hunting rifle during some early and late times without fail. if its bright enough for me to see that deer its more than bright enough to see the crosshairs.

Thank you gentlemen, that is the kind of information I was looking for.

It seems we have a tie on the poll...

Mel, do you have any thoughts on the Fine Duplex?

If you have no need for mil-dot's for ranging, I would certainly go with the fine duplex.
