He takes a shot at about 320 yards and it impacts about 12" low and 15" right. Let's say we had one round left, but we had a smart phone and Internet access for some reason... If we knew where to dial the scope to, we could measure the miss, make the correction on the turrets, and probably get a very close hit.

Is there a commonly accepted, 2-3 word term, amongst scope manufacturers, that describes the phrase "The magnification, at which the sub tensions are accurate"

Something like the terms: Field of view, Parallax setting, Max windage adjustment, Eye relief, etc...

If the answer is "ALL scopes use the highest magnification" that will work for me.
If the answer is "I don't think there's a common term for that"... that will also work for me.

Sorry I missed your post I must have been using my SFP brain.
    What size is your target?
Sound like your 100yrd zero and Gail force wind or he jerk the trigger hard

Like this... 12" miss divided by 3.2(hundreds of yards)= 3.75 MOA correction divided by 3.43= 1.12 mils. Dial in 1.1 mils and do the same for wind.
I already know how to do the math... I'm just looking for the terminology, if there is one.

Thanks, and very Interesting... According to the manual, their power setting is NOT the max setting....

Well at least now I know that "the highest magnification" isn't the correct answer.

The only terms I can think of is to ask where the SFP "reticle subtends correctly". Any manufacturer should understand and answer that I would think.

Otherwise it's some shoot and see dots and a 7' plank@100 yards measured with a steel tape.

I believe "Ranging Magnification" is most commonly used.
