Just picked up a gently used Tikka T3 lite in .308. I like this rifle alot, but it kicks like a mule. I am planning on having the barrel threaded for a muzzle break, and would like suggestions on what kind/ brand of brake.
That's funny... my boys and I have had several Tikkas over the years. I have a 13.5 lb .260 and a 11.5 lb. 300WM with a brake, but my boy was just reminding me how much he hated to shoot his stock .270... under 8 lbs with a scope. Guys used to laugh until they shot it.
Holland makes a *VERY* effective brake. I have one on my 300WM and it recoils like a .243.
Oh... and ditch that evil torture weapon they call a buttpad and get yourself a Limbsaver. You'll thank me.
John
