6.5 Creedmoor rifle Tikka T3x CTR or Ruger Precision

I'm looking to pickup a rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor I'm looking at the Tikka t3x ctr or Ruger precision. Anything else I should be looking at? From everything I've read people love their Tikkas nice and smooth and accurate out of the box. The Ruger precision seems to be hit and miss.

Rifle will be used for target shooting

Rugers have a little more aftermarket support and barrel swaps are easier. I think Tikka actions are better.
I redefined trust between my wife and I. Bought her a gun, hand loaded ammo for it, showed her how to shoot it, and made her the beneficiary on my life insurance.

Is there a comparable Howa to throw in the mix?

    Yup the Howa HCR

Howa HCR Chassis Rifle – Legacy Sports International

That would also be a great choice.

I own the RPR and every time I take it to the range I wish I would have spent the money on a Tikka instead. Don't get me wrong, the Ruger can shoot very well but the tikka's are much smoother, and your not stuck with just a chassis system like you are with the Ruger.

The Tikka T3x CTR with 24in barrel is looking like a sweet shooter with that butter smooth action. Replace the stock and it will be superior to the RPS is every way.

Looks like everyone is on the same page, I think I'm gonna up the Tikka if I can get my hands on one with a 24inch barrel, CTRs are rare in general here though so it may not be a possibility at all

    Thanks for the input guys
