    threading a bull barrel for a suppresor

    savage 10 fp heavy barrel can it be threaded for a suppresor and can a machine shop do it or should i send it off to someone who has done it before?

    go to your local gunsmith and see if he can do it

    Do you have the suppresor for it already. I would send it out to someone that does this for a living I've seen some nasty thead jobs before. Also make sure you know what suppresor your getting as some companies make different size threads its pretty much common sense but like I said I've seen some screwups before.

    wait wait wait... you can put a suppressor on a heavy barrel? well this is something i may have to look into. where are you looking? caus i may want to put one on my rem 700 varmint.

    Yea! Me too, Id like a real heavy duty looking brake on one of my heavy barrels! I am thinking a style kinda like on a tiger tank, or that AR30 one is cool too. :wink:

    Like already said, make sure you get the correct threads cut for the suppressor you want. Also if you are having it for a bull/heavy barrel, make sure the suppressor fits because some such as a reflex suppressor actually fit back over the barrel.

    Any as long as it fits, there are plenty out there to choose from. Perhaps you could pick a few yourself, and we could help you narrow down the choices.

    are you mounting a sound suppresor or a flash supressor?
