Coworker was just talking about these.. what do you like about them? The trapazoid sight system seems to be the rage on them.

I love the sights. I also love that it is a fuuly supported chamber. The trigger is supposed to be better than any DOA gun but I can't say because I have not shot all the others. Not to mention they are a great deal at CDNN.

They are good firearms with great ergonomics. I just got mine back from Steyr for warranty repairs (nine years after I bought it and they did not charge me a dime). Top notch customer service.

The earlier models M40's were plagued with prolems (which I have). Majority of it was with towards the extractor. The trigger group was also updated on the earlier ones. The a1's are much better mechanically. The main difference is the accessory rail and the manual safety inside the trigger guard. Keep them clean and do not use wolf ammo as it damages the extractor.

Now for concealed carry...that would ultimately depend on your holster. Dont cheap out and buy the least expensive you can find. Remember that you will be wearing this holster on youi most of the time.

No problem. They usually go for $379 when Cabelas has a sale. Also, those trapezoidal sights are wonderful when you are in motion. Just a tad bit faster target aquisition than the typical three dot system.

    be safe,

You can pick one up at CDNN sports for 349 right now. My local Cabelas was 589.
