I used to buy it by the Keg when I was shooting Trap. One of the cleanest burning powders for my loads. Red-Dot was the favorite at the time and as far as I was concerned it was like loading powdered coal.

    I used a lot in my 9mm.

For your 45acp, if you go with a 200gr LSWC you'll have a pretty narrow range of charge weights. From a published starting charge of 5.2 gr to max of 5.7 but if it's as clean burning as I found it to be in both shotshells and 9mm, you'll enjoy that 6lbs of PB. Should be able to make noise and throw lead for a long time with that much.

And the price was right. I do have tie group and bullseye as well but only 1 lbs of each. I'll try his first see if I find a good load if not will move on.

Penn Bullets, 200 Grain SWCBB, Match Grade. I wish I could post a picture; 5 shots, one hold, off hand, 1 1/2 x 1" single hole. His bullets are very weight consistent and he has his own foundry; been casting forever.

Dang, can't even post a URL yet. Pennbullets dot com.
