How do you make a Data Book or Log Book?

I recently joined the forum and watched magpul's Art of the Precision Rifle. By doing so I learned of the importance of keeping a record book. I did do a few searches but did not find what I was looking for. I have always sighted in for Max Point blank range, but now I'd like to start actually keep track of how my rifle(s) shoot during different conditions, loads, ranges, etc. I would like something free, I know there are bound to be free resources available for making your own log book or data book. So if you would be so kind to share with me links, how-to instructions, and if you're really in a gracious mood post a copy of yours. Thanks for the help. I'd like to make my own because, I'm poor, I'm cheap, and I'd like to customize it to my needs as I learn how to use it.

    Thank you

Simplest thing is to just get a steno pad and keep notes. If you want something more complicated, then you can get pre-made books. Mel has one in his store.

I like the Impact Data books. They really aren't that expensive, at least I don't think so. I thought about printing out my own, but the cost in paper and laser toner would add up real quick to be more than buying one. Or, you can just simply take a look at their sight and use that info to craft your own if you want to go the notebook route.

I just bought one of Mel's log books a couple weeks ago. Excellent book well worth the money. Got one of his ballistics cards too, Very nice.
