When stalking be careful of being tree cancer.... Make sure you blend into the areas your moving through to get to your FFP. Ultimately you want to look like NOTHING. Suits Look good!

You hit it on the nose......ridge lines....bases of trees and bushes any areas where you can have any kind of a silhouette or stand out against something... I have used my Ghillie to practice my stalk on Elk while I lived in the Colorado Mountains. I got within 10 feet from a herd that was bedded down. I could have probably gotten closer before standing up but I did not want to deal with a few big bulls with very massive racks. But it was fun to stand up and watch them jump and never realize I was there........
Yes you can reload your Berdan Primed Cartridges by converting them to a Boxer Primer.

Remember when constructing your Ghillie you want a 30%, 70% mix of Jute and Vegetation! this means 30% of evenly distributed burlap that has been stripped and is different lengths, (minimum 6 inches and max 9 inches). This is spread evenly from the tops of the shoulders across the back and down the back of your arm to about 3 inches above your elbow when in a natural fighting position. This covers the entire back as well as the back of the trousers. Then you need to add your vegetation to your suit for your areas your traveling in. Remember the veg you add to your top has a life expectancy of 30-45 minutes and you WILL need to re-veg! Remember if you don't blend into your backdrop, you are easily identifiable!

When in a Stalk with a ghillie you need to use one of four movement techniques. If not familiar with them look them up and read up on how to properly use them.

What you could do instead of burlap is us strips of Blaze orange fabric. I bet you could get it at walmart. The cool thing about this suit is you could tie natural vegetation into it with unwaxed and unflavored dental floss and to people you would stick out like a soar thumb but to a deer you will be invisible
I hunt with a fella that used RID Dye in super blaze orange on a bunch of tan burlap he has also just used blaze orange spray paint and he takes good deer and elk every year.
