Do large rifle and large pistol primers have the same amount of compound in them? I've got alot of large rifle primers, and I have a .45acp... get the picture?
I read up on it in the speer reloading manual, and all they say is that a pistol firing pin might not be able to hit the thicker cup of the 'rifle' primers hard enough to ignite the compound.
Thoughts?
