RG4895 Surplus Military Powder Ever Tried it?

A question for all you hand loaders out there. Any of you ever used RG4895 Surplus Military Powder? If so how did it stack up against say IMR 4895, Varget or Reloader 15? More specifcally, for use in bolt action with a 1 in 12" barrel. It looks like it's a few bucks less and more importantly, available at this time. FWIW I'd just the same spend the extra $20 or so for what I have already used but would like to hear from anyone that has used RG4895 Surplus and what they thought about it. Thx..

I cant really help with this other than it can be had for $109 for 8lbs and like you said its available now. I did find that RG ammo (from what i read) is good ammo. I will be buying some

I picked up 24 lbs of it and I can't tell the difference between it and IMR 4895. I have used it in AR-10 and AR-15 rifles. Point of impact has been the same, didn't even have to adjust the scope settings.

Good to hear myerfire. I ordered up 8lbs of the RG after finding some IMR at bass pro shop for $28 a lb . I am not really worried about the power as much as i am worried about the wolf primers i order.
