I have up to 550 pieces of Once fired Federal GMM .308 brass. Brass was collected within the hour it was shot during a precision rifle course. I have polished the brass for about two hours. Much of the brass is matched lot, but there is some older stuff (without the visible blue sealant around the primer) mixed in. How are the primer pockets? The FEd brass I have come across has lousy primer pockets, they go loose after the second firing most of the time. I have loaded over 700 once fired GMM cases from the same lot, the pockets have gotten so hit and miss that after the cases second firing they stay at the range.
The cases I have loaded are no older than 2 years old from when the lot was bought.
Anyways, just curious.
I imagine they are fine, but haven't de-primed any to check. I haven't had any problem reloading the Federal GMM brass in the past. All of the Federal Primers I load seem to seat just fine, nice and snug, but not too tight.
