I don't know about others here, but I spend a lot of time browsing online auctions for good deals on various firearms, or rare firearms that aren't typically seen. When I find something that seems like a good deal I like to post it in the Classifieds here in hopes that somebody here is able to scoop it up for a good price.

This thread will be a way for folks to quickly check and see if anybody has founs good buys on a rig they're maybe looking for. Please keep your post words limited to a link and as little extra information as possible so that the links here are easy to browse. Also, please do some research to check out a deal unless you're absolutely sure it's an alright buy off the bat.

Here's one I found to get things started, the BuyItNow price is quite reasonable, comparable to the price of a new SPS Varmint:

Looks good to me. if I hadn't snapped up that 12/33 I'd be seriously tempted. But it's in very good shape, I couldn't justify altering it. I'd probably hold out for one in similar condition with a crest, or one in bad enough shape to justify tapping holes for a scope base. When I see a scrubbed or otherwise plain ring, I want to tap a scope base in there.

One thing though, I consider myself an enthusiast, not an expert. I don't even own any mauser books- an expert knows a heck of a lot more than I do.

Bob White built rifle with a claimed 1/4 MOA.

For $1,650.00

Up for sale is my Savage Model 10FP-LE28 tactical rifle with a ton of custom modifications. All modifications were performed by Bob White (World Class Bench Rest competitor and gunsmith) and include a McMillian Tactical Stock, glassbed receiver, stainless steel match grade Hart barel (1-10" twist, chambered in .308) with a custom muzzlebrake. Custom single shot conversion with filled stock and magazine well. Barrel fitted to receiver which eliminates the barrel lug and barrel and bolt true to receiver. Will include loophole 1" scope mount. This is a competition grade rifle (1/4" MOA) at a fantastic price (over $2200 invested!) Local NJ sale prefered but will ship (see terms) - all required documents must be provided.
Looks neat, I'm thinking about it but I wanted to post it up here so everyone had a chance.
