    From what I've read, the companies that sell the bedding compound also sell a release agent - often in a kit. A common suggestion is a Johnson's paste wax.

    I know shoe Polish will work. You guys think car wax will work?

    Since I don't know what epoxy will be used, I can't say for sure, but I know that Liquid car wax (dried, but NOT buffed off) works quite well with Devcon 10110.

    Carnuba wax works well with MarineTex.

    I used neutral color Kiwi shoe polish with Devcon 10110 and it worked great.. Just make sure you don't miss any spots....

    Don't use spray on dry Teflon. Almost glued a rail to an action. My smith uses Minwax. Actions slip right out of the bedding. He wipes it on with his finger and just lets it dry. Doesn't wipe off haze.

    I'm gonna get flamed for this but I'm going to try JB weld. I got lots of car wax so I was thinking it work just fine. I'm going to test it on a scrap piece of metal first.
