    I use a fairly basic model "Chrony" brand .... seems to do the job just fine.

    I use a CED chronograph.If you reload, and the main reason I use them for is measuring the speed of my reloads for consistancy, you will eventually have a misfire, or not expect the amount of recoil,and shoot the sensor.The CED is a component setup, so the sensors can be easily replaced in the odd chance that happens.It has a large digital readout to see while you shoot, too.
