re

I don't.

If I was shooting something very old, or black powder, I would.

I dont wear eye protection unless Im shooting(or are nearby someone who is shooting) a gun that Im not farmiliar with. I was less than 5 feet from one of my friends when he was shooting a Chinese copy of an M1A, and the case ruptured. It blew the bottom out of the magazine and scared the living crap out of both of us. We think what happened is that the bolt never closed all the way, and the cartridge was hanging out of the chamber when it went off. From then on, I wear eye protection when around an unfarmiliar gun. By the way, the gun was not his, he was borrowing it from someone, never the less, it was quickly returned. Both of us were fine, and learned a very good lesson.

Berretta Shootin Glass's. Ive heard way to many times how a little tiny peice of copper jacket or a shotgun pellet bounced back off of somethin and took some ones eye out. Its not going to happen to me. :D

Always... EXCEPT (lol) when behind a SWS or spotting. Pistol, M4, and the sort always... but that's what I do for a living. There was a guy at the range with me once (ONCE...) who sorta popped his eyeball with a 2x4 sliver when another guy shot a target frame next to him. We were doing the walk-while-shooting-shoulder-to-shoulder-and-grab-the-target-and-pump-it-full-of-lead drill when his lost his eye. Had he been wearing glasses he woulda only got a cool scar at best. But now I'm told he wears one of then cool smiley-face contact lenses... but he ain't in the Army.

alwaya always. I work in an indoor range as a firearms instructor so it's policy
plus I am constantly getting hit in the face with splashback off of the revolvers we have or little pieces of jacket that come back off the wall. I got through a pair about once every two months, and new ear muffs every six. when I'm not workign and go to the outdoor range I don't always wear em, I have them there in case I do a little 22 shooting or am practicing some CQB stuff but for my bolt rifle or shotgun I'm not that worried about it they are both practically brand new.
