    Falcon 4.5-18 and 20moa base

Where are you guys at for 100yd zero on MOA adjustment with a 20moa base?

I am about 17moa from the bottom at 100yd zero, have about 53 of elevation up. Im not complaining as 53 is quite a lot to have for a budget scope, but it would also be nice to have 70 of up left.

You need a Sightron SIII, 120 MOA of internal adjustment (I think, I know it's over 100). You can get into one for less than $700 for a 3.5-10x44 and none of the S3's are over $800. Nice scopes for the money.

What? Nobody is using a Falcon 4.5-18 with a 20moa base or what? This is a very simple question.

I think becuase of some of the issues it was having as in breaking, many blokes might have switch to a different scope and not wanted to take the risk that it might break.

I think however that falcon have fixed this problem with the new shipments. PM Mel as he is a dealer and ask him if you want.

    Falcon 4.5 - 18 and 20 moa base

I know many wouldn't like the idea but a small shim perfectly placed under the base is always one way to go. My brother has a 12fv with a bushnell legend 5-15x 40mm that I shimmed in the rear. Used a thin shim, and it gave him an extra 10moa. His 12fv in .308 shoots lights out! I'm talking .25 moa @ 100yds. He hasn't had to re-adjust elev- or wind- or hasn't moved zero since he bought it a year ago!

Most don't like the word SHIM., but it's cost eff. and if you don't mind having to use one.

    good luck!
