I bought my clamp on brake for my stock 7mm rem mag savage 111 with a sporter barrel. I have used it now for about 7 months. I ordered a new barrel 2 months ago and while on the phone talking with Ken I told him about my barrel change and I will getting a 1.050 straight taper and he is going to make me a new brake and let me exchange my current one for the new one with no cost. IMO that is pretty impressive. Even though he has offered it for free I am not sure if I am going to do it as I think I want to go with a threaded brake on my new barrel. My current Witt brake is really big and that is with a .56" width at the muzzle. I can't imagine what it will look like with a 1" diameter barrel.

I am still a little bit "on the fence" as to whether I'll put a brake on my .308 but if I do, I now know where I'll be buying it. Businesses who treat their customers like this are the ones I like to give my money to.

I was on the fence, but with the easy reversibility of this brake I figured why not. Then the Mil discount and free shipping tipped the scales.

It looks dorky, but hopefully it functions well. When my bolt gets back from the shop (Bolt knob install, Salt Dog LLC), I'll take her out for a spin and give a full report.

Just out of curiosity, why do gun nuts go bat-shit crazy when someone refers to a magazine as a "Clip" but remain totally silent when a muzzle BRAKE is called a "break"?

Must be all that voice recognition software out there that doesn't know the difference, right?

    I find it mildly annoying.

But hey, maybe they are scared to brake their muzzle, and just want some time away from it.

Ok. The brake works. But my POI was not where I left it.

The POI shifted 1.1 mils low at 100 yards.

Wow! That's a lot. I want one for when I'm by myself but have to take it off the rest of the time. I don't want to have two zeros.

Yeah. That was a lot. I was super surprised when my CCB shot wasn't on target. Thought it might be hiding in the black, so I pressed off another round. Nada.
