    Ladder test

Looking for some further steps to take. I recently ran a ladder test at 500yd for my 243 rem 700 shooting 103 eldx min to max load 38.7-41.1 in .4 gr increments. Took my three shots that had least vertical dispersion. Loaded up those three to shoot groups and neither shot under 2inchs. Do i run a ladder test again?
This is a custom built rifle with 1in8 twist lilja barrel blue print action and bedded barrel. I have roughtly 50-60 rounds through after my break in procedure. Any advice is helpful.
    Thanks.

First of all, I would bring in the target to 200 ~ 300 yrd. I don't ladder anymore, run OCW rather at 100. 500 yards seems too far. The distance just has too much of possible variation.

I could try that. I was just worried with how flat the 243 shoots the results wouldnt be as easy to read. I had four different charges all group around three inches.

Why don't you just humor yourself and give it another try at 200 with smaller dot. Like less than 1/2 inch wide. Frankly, your target looks way too big and it was way too far to measure any precision out of it. Let's do that and post it to see what happens.
