    Sons 6.5 X 55 shoots .25 MOA

I built my son a heavy barrel Parker Hale action w/pacnor un-contured barrel, Made up a nice stock for him with Rose wood capped Lam bean and worked a single stage trigger to pull off a little under a pound. I made a huge bolt for easy cycling and it looks cool to him. I did a bit of a radical free float and solid bedding job topped with Millet LRS glass. The only thing done to the barrel other than thread and chamber was lapped it well. He finally got it to the range with a hand full of 140 gr. reloads for a break in session and put 4 in the same [email protected] yards, cleaned it and repeated the group then moved to another gun, an SP1 which shot well. He said he didn't want to over shoot the big gun! Go figure! The next round will be at 300 yrds, I just hope he does it before he goes into the Army (June29), keep you posted. I've built maybe a dozen Parker Actions over the years and have never let me down, they require minimal blueprint work, even when scrounged from commercial guns-SDH

Good job on the rifle build, I'd love to do the same kind of build sometime in the future.

Do you have a digital camera? If so, here is a great tutorial on how to post them to the forum http://www.snipercentral.com/forums/vie ... hp?t=18077

I have a bull barrel in that caliber on the way from Kreiger. I would like to find a good fat stock to go with it, but not having luck. Which stock did you use?
