I am looking to get a rifle for coyote hunting the furthest i would shoot would be no more than 600yds.. Anyone have any suggestions between the 2 or maybe a different rifle suggestion..
Both are excellent actions. Both stocks are very lacking and will greatly limit accuracy. The varmint has a much heavier barrel and therefore will be capable of more accurate follow up shots. I would start with the sps-v and immediately put it in a new stock. Choate and bell and Carlson are both decent quality, value priced stocks. Then I would get a steel base and rings and the best scope you can afford. A few other small things and some match grade ammo and you will be set.
