For the folks reading my posts till now, I've been masking my disappointment.
When I got back into shooting after a layoff of about 9 years, I went right out and bought a gun. I did zero research.
I shot small bore prior to this, and without sounding like I’m blowing sunshine up my but, I shot very well.
What I WANTED to buy was a bolt action .308 that I could gong steel with all afternoon at 800+ yards
What I ended up with, is a GREAT “hunting” rifle that will gong it about 3 times until I lose my accuracy due to barrel heat and flex.(learned this AFTER the purchase)
I was gonna mask my guns flaws (and my stupidity) with a fancy tactical stock…at least when my buddies and I went out, it would at least “look” cool. However, it turns out, that for a “sporter” barrel, my synthetic tactical stock options are VERY limited.
Please guys and gals…if you’re getting into long range target shooting, do your research!
I now find myself in the market for the gun I wanted in the first place
