what do yall think about the McM TUBB 2000

For those of you that do not know what it is
http://www.mcbrosrifles.com/tubb_2000.htm
Its built by McMillan Rifles.
I have not used one personally but the reports are that it is indeed a very accurate rifle. If you like the style, I think it would work well for LE. I don't think its very suitable for heavy field work because of the ergonomics of the design. Great target rifles though

No matter who the manufacturer is, I'd like to see something more then a CAD rendering of it. Some information on guaranteed accuracy would be nice too. Also, the telescopic/collapsable butt seems like it'd be prone to problems just due to the geometry and number of parts in it.
Seems like they're kind of saying "Here it is. It's nice. Trust us on this one."

Actually, thats McM for you. I do not believe they offer a guarantee on any of their rifles.
actual photos would indeed be beneficial...

i agree with Shoe
im not doubting McMillian's reputation but when you pay that kind of money you should expect an accuracy guarentee
when you pay $3000 and you dont have any guarentee you taking a HUGE gamble
maybe its just me but if there is a guarnetee id put a nice poster somewhere on each gun page saying will put 5 shots into 1/2" @ 100y or something like that
what if it turns out to be a POS and shoots 3 MOA?
i dont think it would be too much to expect them all to be within 1/4 and 1/2 moa considering how much your paying but if you pay $3000 there is no reason you shouldnt have a 1/2 moa guarentee or better on match models or atleast a 1 MOA guarentee for semi-autos or sporter models
real photoes would be nice too its funny with some rifles i seen i couldnt recognize because thier graphics were differnt than the real thing

My cousin owns a tubb 2000 in blue. Shoots fine and never fails to feed. Great gun in my opinion. Id expect half MOA out of yours if you wished to buy one.. His generally shoots quarter MOA off the bags and the shooter isnt that great (me). Besides the fact it looks like a toy (the color) i deffinately wouldnt be afraid to toss it around.

no way im ready to spend 3k on a rifle (not even old enough to get one in the first place) i had come across it and figured it would be interesting. out and out it was designed for BR competitions. from what i hear it excells at that. those i would think are real pics not CAD renderings, ive seen a pic of the real thing and it accurately matches the CAD (if its a CAD)

Tubb 2000
Well not seeing one in person cant really saymuch, but in reading some of Tubbs writings the 2000 is made in at least two versions .one is for competion three positong /long range shooting and a field or tactical version and from what I have heard from the rifle people they soot well , depends on ammo and shooter as all rifles cant afford one either but i cant afford a Texas brigade Armory M40a1/a3 series either as far as guarantees pays your money and takes your chances in this market
