Which kind of scope should I use for 2000m?

I need to know relation between range and magnification of scope. I want to see target at 1000 m and then I need to use 10-35x rifle sight or 10-45x spotter scope.....? We choose scope depending upon range ie. want to see 600m target, 800m target, 1000m target, 2000m target. Is there anyone who know this relation? Help me please, friends!

Interesting question, I'm curious as to what gun are you planning on shooting to 1 1/4 miles and how big your target will be?

If you are shooting at a 1 MOA target it will be approximately a 24" circle at that range, 2 MOA is double that and so on. I can see a 24" circle fairly well at that range with my 20x scope on a no mirage day; I've never shot any of my guns that far but I would be confident that I could see well enough with 20x to attempt it on a 1 MOA target. Obviously 27x or so with good quality glass would be better.

1x100yds. So as 8SAM suggests a 20x scope is adequate for 2k more or less. Sure 40x would be great, but you'll find that most of the time you can't dial the scope all the way up due to mirage...it's just too damn blurry. I would be looking at a $2-4K 5-25x or 8-32x...you get the idea.

It Depends on the rifle, Budget for how much you are willing to spend.

To see out clearly is impossible at 1000 yards or over unless with a spotters scope.

Is it for bench rest or competition?

If no money issues lol then here.

    Competition - $ 3,000 - 4,000

Night force ATACR 7-35×56 F1 RIFLE SCOPE - First Focal Plane
    Kahles K 1050 MOAK 10-50X56 - SECOND FOCAL PLANE

    Bench rest

March Long Range BR 10-60x56 HM

    For Under $2000-3,000

    VORTEX VIPER HS-T 6-24X50
VORTEX VIPER PST GEN II 5-25X50 : JUST RELEASE THIS YEAR 2017
NIGHT FORCE ATACR 5-25×56 SFP Enhanced Rifle scope

If you have Specifications on what rifle you have. and you want a decent scope to hit out to 2000 yards then your looking in specified groups as shown.

If you looking to shoot 1000 yards + then anything from a 6-24 power can do.

    hope this helps

If you want to talk more i here or PM

Sorry this is between $1000 - 3,000, but it depends on where you live for cost.

    i shoot 2000 yds with a 5.5-22 night force
spot with a 22-67x 100 mm ed glass spotting scope.
our 1 mile target is an 18 inch square,
easy to see, not easy to hit!

i do not think those nf bench rest scopes have enough elevation
    for 2000 yards.

Greetings Gents from Texas, one other thing I'm learning with these extended range shots is, Mirage as mentioned earlier, and scopes with enough elevation to get you there. A few scopes left off the list posted that'll get you to 2000 yards:

    Vortex Gen II 4-27
    Schmidt Bender 5-25 PMII
IOR Valdada recon, Crusader, Terminator, but those 40mm tubes are going to drive scope ring cost through the roof.
