what have yall heard about this. and does it even exist? Its supposedly a 6.5mm projectile stuffed into a 308 casing. I think it would be a really interresting round as they are producing some really excellent 6.5 bullets lately and the 308 powder charge is a known quanity.

any ideas? I thought that the 260 remington was a 6.5 stuffed into a 308 but it could be a 6mm.

I take it the topic you wanted to put was .260 Remington? Anyway, the .260 Remington is a 6.5mm bullet in a .308 case. It is not a 6mm though.

In your original post, you put 260, although the thread title had 269: was that on purpose?

Yep, .260 is a 6.5 in the .308, and one of my favorite cartridges. A match grade SC developed .260 load is one of my projects for 2005. Loaded by HSM. Goal is a 123gr Lapua Scenar at 2880 fps.

The only one I know off hand is the always expensive Lapua. Ooops misspoke Lapua comes in either .243 or .308 adn you have to either neck up or down to get to the .260.

I'll see if I can root around and find if someone else makes it.

Thanks, yes, I've picked up a batch of remington brass to try out first. We'll see how it goes.

I believe there was a question about the price per box, the goal price is $20 or less for 20 rounds of match .260 with 123gr scenar bullet.
