I’m looking at loading the Hornady 250 gr A-Tip for my 300WM, just to try a heavy. I have H1000, would this still work for this size bullet? I’m just starting to dig for info. Any help would be met with gratitude.

I’m settling on the Berger 220 gr Hybrid Target. I’m going all out on that one. I’ll post results when I finally get around to it.

I had a Remy 700P in 308 with a 1-12 twist and I was able to hit out to 1K yds with a 175SMK. I'm surmising that the 1-12 stabilized the pill enough to get me out to 1K. I suspect that 1-9 would be better but give it a shot with what you got.

Curious, did you call Hodgdon powder folks? if so what did they say. I've got a 300NM that would probably like a 250gr pill.

I did not call. I’m dropping back to 220-225 gr.
