a friend of my parents is a WCO and his issued carry piston is a glock in 357 sig, i dont know much about pistol cartridges and was wondering what kind of information i could be given

I've rented the Sig 229 in 357 at my gun range, and I thought it was a great gun--others complained that it actually hurt their hand (because the load is pretty hot), but I really can't see how that could be true; it had heat, but a sizeable framemade it easy to manage. Ammo's pretty expensive, though.
