I stumbled across this site and a couple things struck me as odd.

http://www.model1sales.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=UAR10KB1&storeid=1&image=UAR10.gif

1)They have a Texas address but the number that pops up when you hit the customer service button is an 847 area code.

2)There website design for all parts section is identical design to DSA http://www.dsarms.com/item-detail.cfm?ID=DSZM4CV1R&storeid=1&image=cv1r.gif

3)I asked if they were affiliated with DSA, but she said No.

4)DSA is located in my home town in Illinois, which is 847 area code.

Just wondering if anyone knew anything about them. Their prices for the few AR10 bolt carrier assembly is 7 bucks cheaper than Armalite, so I would rather buy from them as Armalite rubs me the wrong way.

Model 1 Sales was originally located in Illinois. They only recently moved to Texas.

Model 1 Sales is not a manufacturer. They simply resell other makers' products. Some of the Model 1 Sales stuff is quite good. Other stuff not so good.

The AR-10 bolt carrier is marked as being "Armalite". It seems as if Model 1 Sales is actually selling Armalite parts. If so, why buy from Armalite directly, if the same part is cheaper from Model 1 Sales.

I bought an M16A2 stock assembly from Model 1 Sales and I was delighted to see the buffer assembly that they sent along with the stock. The buffer was inside a vapor locked envelope that bore military codes from 1968. I got an originally new-old stock buffer and I felt bad opening that sealed vapor locked package.

they probobly just route your call through that area code...it happens alot when you dont always talk to a human, alot of companies have an entire site dedicated to machine answers, then route it somewhere else
