The other day mel mentioned that he might want to purchase his things for review through me and the company I work for, kieslers. Well I talked it over with a few people at work and we figured that if any of you want anything, let me know. I love sniper rifles along with you guys and I think that I might be able to help everyone. With mel's permission I would like to post pictures and prices of sniper/tactical rifles ammo, etc. If there is anything that you guys want specific let me know and I will see if I can get it and for how much. I work for a very good company and there is almost absolutely nothing we cannot get. I mean we arm the military/police/ and over half of america. This is a service that I think would be a really cool thing to do. I hate going to places trying to look for the REAL bolt actions, and accessories. Let me know if this is something that you would want to do, and mel get with me about your stuff to.

Would you be able to ship accessories to the UK, so long as it didnt infringe any laws. Things are very expensive over here and even after I paid the import duty it would still work out a lot cheaper

I will see what I can do, I have to check what is allowed and what isn't, what are you looking for exactly? I will if I can, if my hands are tied by import/export laws, or company policy

I voted yes - based upon the hope that you could hook us up with a discount on federal Gold Medal MAtch amunition (I assume that you get some kind of employee discount of most items listed on the site). You guys already have teh best prices on 168s on the web, I'm hoping to get 175 at a good price.

I checked and the UK has very strict importation laws about firearms. So I can't ship anything as far as guns and ammo, but dragbags, ghillie suits I can. My best advice is to move here. Sorry I cannot help the uk, but for everyone in the u.s. it is looking good

Just out of curiosity, what kind of laws are there on shipping firearms in this situation? I assume someone could not just buy a weapon and have it shipped to them.

in the UK its hard to own a rimfire without taking a bunch of tests and getting a bajillion liscecnes... and thats if they feel like it.

you have to pay duty taxes, plus importation fees, it makes a 300 dollar rifle cost literally in the 900 dollar range.

You mean buying a firearm from a state other than yours? I've bought a couple on gunbroker.com and learned how to do it. Basically, you find an FFL holder and have it shipped to them, Gunbroker has a page listing people who can help, then you pay them for doing the transfer. You'll need to get a copy of thier FFL signed in ink and send it to the seller with your payment (whatever the seller likes best, certified funds) and wait for the phone call saying it's in. That's only for complete firearms and recievers though, parts like barrels or trigger groups are okay to go right to you. I think if you're in the same state as the firearm it can go right to you. You might still run into waiting periods and stuff though :( , so don't expect to get out of that.

EDIT: I just realized you mean internationally don't you? Sorry about that, rough morning...

Texas, no wait period. :D I was just questioning the legallity of the transfer is all. Last thing I want to do is violate the law.

lol im not sure what he meant either, rough morning here 2. Basically a good rule of thumb is, if it doesn thave a serial number on it, you can recieve it without an FFL transfar.

As far aw weapons they have to go to a dealer, but the rest is all good. Out of the country is too much trouble due to the import/export laws. It will take me a week or two to set this up, but I would still like to get permission from mel. Basically guys I will post pics of the guns and the price, shipping differs from state to state. If you do buy a gun it is your responsibility to find where you want it shipped and to have them send me a ffl. I gotta get back to work. guns to play with! :D like the 700pss suppressed I have in the office! :D jealous yet

Hi sniperdog-alpha, thanks for the reply. Wasn't after guns and ammo, as you say too much trouble, it was accessories that I was after, as and when I've got a bit of spare cash... hahahaha.
You're right about the gun situation over here though, can not even own an air-rifle with more than 12 ft/lbs power without it going on your firearms licience. Shotguns have a seperate licience but if it is a semi-auto it is restricted to 3 shot, if you require a larger mag then you need to put the mag on your firearms ticket.

Okay, I'm finally online to comment on this post. (We got about a foot of snow last night, that slowed me down a bit).

Sniperdog:
Here is what I would PREFER to do. I want to do more than just post occasional deals for the chaps. I would like to setup a full blown section on the main page with everything posted with pricing, contact info, or what ever else we can setup. Currently, in the scopes section, I sell scopes through an affiliate program with "cheaper than dirt". I would much rather have something setup with you guys that is catered to sniping. I mean, all the hard to find stuff, like Steyr SSG PI's, Kahles optics, Lapua Ammo, Sako TRG-22's, SIG SSG3000's, S&B scopes, etc etc etc. There is no place like that out there that has everything sniping for sell. I'm not sure what we could do, but I architect software systems in my side job (which pays the bills) away from sniping and snipercentral so I suspect we could figure something out, I'd do the work.

Other ideas?

Alright fellas, I am cool with that, Mel contact me so we can talk about this and how we want to do this. I have the contacts and either have the product or means to get it. I still have to get all the finishing touches together with you mel, so I can take this to the rest and tell them how this is going to be done. Mel call me if you can at 812-288-5740
ask for james or my cell 502 876 1803 I will get your number and call you right back so that it doesn't cost you anything.
Hopefully all this goes smoothly cause I would love to make this possible for you guys.

try me on my cell and I will go over it with you. I know that we won't be able to get everything worked out tonight, but I would like to get the ball rolling on this and get a few things in order of where we will be going with this and mode of operation

I have ordered stuff through Kevin before and have been extremely satisfied.

As previously mentioned, I too would be intersted in discounted Federal Gold Medal 308 ammo, shooting mat Eagle or Blackhawk and many other goods that are related.

I vote yes if it is at a discount, since potential purchases would occur in bulk quantities. Glad to see that SC is finally getting some alliances going. 8)
