The history channel has a new series called shootout. Last night was the first one, and it was pretty good. It was about the battle for Falluga. It had some reinactments, but lots of footage as well. I noticed several snipers had M-14 rifles, but no bolt guns. (I am sure they were used) It was worth watching and will probably be on again later in the week.

M14's are still used regularly as DMR's in the USMC and I know of at least one battalion in the US Army that refurbed many M14's as DMR's before heading over (I would bet they were not the only ones). The situation over there is fairly well suited for the DM role.
