I guess most shooters mount their bipod on the existing sling stud but...

Where is the best position? More toward the chamber or muzzle. Do you want a balanced fulcrum when shouldered or does it really matter?

I’m thinking more balanced than the standard mounting stud then the farther away the less movement but I don’t know

I want to make them all the same.

Thanks

Personally prefer mounting a bi pod towards the front of the hand guard depending on type not fully forward but 2 to 3 stud positions from the front most portion of the hand guard if you are using a perforated aluminium guard.

Far front as possible.
