Very accurate rifles, the straight pull bolt is up for debate, some people like them, I personally do not. Of course, the styling is subjective also. But quality is good, and so is the accuracy.

I have not handled one on a long term basis so I cannot comment on durability, long term consistency, etc.

wow thats very serious then

is it common for many types of rifles to blow up and all? ive herd a lot of stories
and a few remington stories about misfires, atleast 1 on this site though the cause of injury in that case was clearly the shooter's fault as much as the rifle with its flawed action
is this usually a result of a flawed action/rifle, crazy handloads or incorrect caliber or what?

Yep, that´s right. System and action are the same.
Just the stock is special.
My knowlege is, that all the accidents took place with magnum calibers and with reloaded ammo. The Deva which is the German "gun contolling department" found out that the gas pressure was somthing about 8000 bar when the weapons blasted.

I myself own a Blaser R93 Offroad Semiweight in .300 WinMag, which is my main hunting rifle for pigs and fellow deer. It is very accurate and has a 3-12x56 Zeiss ZM and an Aimpoint CompM2 for battues mounted. So far I am very happy with that gun. 2cm (100m) diameter with fabric ammo.

But to be honest: I can´t deny a cold feeling in my stomach shooting my favorit. Got my thumb on the system.
