im looking for a book that will help me with basic rifle care and marksmenship as i am going to purchase my first gun soon and need some referance. I tried looking through amazon but got allot of manuals and mixed reviews.

Don't know of any great books, but I'm sure you can get plenty of advise here. I know someone will have something great for you to read, and I would also be interested in finding a similar book. What kind of rifle are you getting and how are you going to equip it?

the book I have found that is best for the novice is "the ultimate sniper" by col plaster. It covers all those, and a few additional topics. Now, for those that are experienced, its not the best, but a good reference none the less. Check it out (and many others I've reviewed) here:

im pritty sure im going to get a cz 452 training rifle (22lr) and then eventualy get a Burris Fullfield II 3-9x scope with Burris rings the only thing im worred about is the longer paralax as the range near me is not very long (50 - 100y i think).
