What kind of scope have you found that fits atop the Barrett best?

In all reality... any scope will "fit" onto a Barret. But that does not mean it would work. First off... it has to be reciol approved for .50 BMG... since it has somthing around (more or slightly less) of 75 pounds of felt recoil if i remember correctly. (if that number is wrong feel free to post the correct felt recoil... im not an expert on recoil simply because it doesnt bother me that much) Personally.... US Optics, Leupold, Swarovski, Kahles, Springfield Armory Optics, and a somewhat unknown (or littleknown) company... Valdada... they make some pretty high end optics. I really like there 6-24x50 with a 35mm tube (has some of the best light transition ive ever seen).... the damn thing is (quit litterally) the most practical tactical scope (if there is such a thing) i have found... the 35mm tube allows for a full 65 MOA of adjustment. They also have the multicoating and MC-7 anti-reflection treatment eliminating glare (no... but seriously... it does ELIMINATE glare) and maximizing light transmission. We got a 3 million candle light power flood light and tried to get some glare off the front lens... just wasnt happening. You can check them out at www.Valdada.com . They make TONS of optics related parts and accesories... including picitinny rail that mounts to your 30mm scope tube... and 1 inch inserts to turn your 30mm rings into 1 inch rings. There heavy duty tactical rings are GREAT for those AR-15's with 50mm objective's that wont fit. And yes... they really are heavy duty. I have a friend who swears by them. They also make a pretty nice compass... and its only 35 dollors. And for those of you looking for high quality incline bases for your Winchester 70 SA... and Remington 700 SA and LA... your in luck. They make a very nice incline base for $120. Ah yes... another great thing to mention... there glass is made by Schott Glasswerk, Germany. They make some great stuff.

He is probably referring to the fact that the US Army has finally semi- officially adopted a SASR (The XM107). Though it was a while ago that they did. Though I'm not even sure why they held trials, the McMillan beat out the Barrett, but they still chose the barrett... oh well

The civilian price is around $7,500... the Military buys these rifles in BULK on there DOD Contract... there for they get lower prices on them.

Mesh covers... www.USCAV.com sells them. It helps camoflauge and break up the outline of optics with out the hassle of painting.
