No idea.
My question is, for their magnum versions of the tactical rifles, why did they go with the RUMs? Everything the .300 and .338 RUM can do, the .338 Lapua Magnum can do better, at longer ranges, and barely any more recoil, if not equal recoil.

I'm not sure but maybe the .338 Lapua is a little much for a "Police Tactical" rifle.
So are the .300WM and the RUMs.
If its built on a remington 700 action, the .338 Lapua will not work without MAJOR modifications.

Yes, they are Rem. 700 actions.
then that is why they did not go the .338 Lapua Route
