I have a Ruger M77 Mark II varmint 308. It has the factory wood stock on it. I let my brother borrow it and it came back with a huge crack and chips in the stock :x . So now I need help finding a replacement stock for it. My bro can afford about $200 to replace it and I would prefer a synthetic instead of wood so this kind of mishap will be less likely to happen again. Thoughts, ideas, suggestions...thanks.

If your looking for synthetic that cheap then i might reccomend a hogue stock. Also if you want a wood replacement exactly like the one you had or mabye a little better, then you can always go with a wood one from Boyd's.

both will run you around 90-120 dollars plus fitting by a gunsmith.
