I would use 55 grain ballistic silvertips (Combined Technology) or 55 grain Nosler ballistic tip bullets.

For powder, IMR-4064 (35.5 grains) or Varget (36 grains) and either Winchester or Remington .22-250 cases.

For primers, CCI-Br2.

Velocity will be 3600 to 3650 ft/sec.

Sincerely,

The classic .22-250 powder is H380. This powder got its name because the late Bruce Hodgdon found that 38 grains of a heretofore unknown ball powder gave incredible accuracy in the .22-250.

Now we do not have a .22-250. And we have never loaded for this cartridge.

But it would be interesting to try this classic load. The bullet weight is 50 grains.

Hodgdon has since increased the charge to 41.0 grains. But perhaps you should try Bruce's classic load.

Thanks guys. I've read about the 223 guys and shooting some of the 60 thru 80 grain bullets. Isn't the 22-250 a beefed up version of the 223? I am lookin to reach out about 500-600 yards any other help would be much appreciated.
